James Baker doesn't own a car although he does love to travel

Car or other vehicle you drive?
I walk mainly. I'm very green and don't own a car

What was your first job?
For one of the local supermarkets when I was in school. I had the responsibility of carrying people's shopping out to their cars.

How much did it pay and was that fair?
It paid £19 per week for 17 hours, which I think at the time was pretty fair for a school kid.

Why did you leave?
There weren't many ways to progress - besides indoors!

Do you have any qualifications?
My IT qualifications are devoted to the products we sell. I do however have NVQ level 2 and 3 in horticulture.

What would you have done if you hadn't gone into IT?
I wanted to be a stonemason, when I left school. I was very interested in architecture at the time, but I ended up walking the path of IT.

What's your favorite computer game?
I recently became addicted to Online Virtual Horse Racing!!

'Golf is a good walk spoiled.'
I wouldn't go for a walk on a golf course. Although I did use to play.

What's the most memorable sporting occasion you've ever witnessed?
England beating Australia in the rugby World Cup final. It was a great day.

Have you ever punched anyone?
Lots of people. I used to kickbox when I was younger!

Is the US inherently more entrepreneurial than the UK?
Yes definitely; I think we have fallen behind over the last decade

Who has been the best James Bond? Who should be next?
Sean Connery. Then they should bring back Pierce Brosnan, the king of suave.

What is the worst lie you have ever told a customer?
I don't tell lies to customers.

Is life better up north or down south?
I'm from Jersey and spent most of my life in the south, so I have to go with that

Tell us your favorite joke or the joke you heard most recently.
They reckon beer contains female hormones and I think they are right. After eight pints I talk rubbish and can't drive.

Do you prefer cricket, football or rugby?
Rugby, because they play for the love of the game and not just for the money

Do you prefer beer, wine or spirits?
Depends on my mood, who I'm with and where I am

"At the Channel Awards, I..."
... Will pass out after celebrating too much!

What's a better status symbol: a car or a boat?
It really depends on what type. No one would be impressed if you sailed around in a dinghy, instead of turning up driving a Jag.

Would you rather have a cool house in the country or a top city penthouse?
A house in the country, but I would have to work in the city as the city has that buzz.
