Career so far Four years of cost accountancy, then I set up CMS and have had an amazing 22-year journey with CMS Peripherals, and it’s getting better every year.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? Arsene Wenger and I would sign a goalkeeper and a striker, then make Frank Salmon an honorary president.

What would you have as your last meal? A traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings and a glass of red wine.

What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? A close call between a trip to the Ice Hotel in Lapland and a business meeting on the Blue Train in South Africa.

Do you see the cloud as a threat or an opportunity? An opportunity – it’s just another service and fits distribution well.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Yes, interest rates staying very low.

What do you see as the channel’s biggest challenge in 2011? For the next year, maintaining healthy business and keeping credit lines in place across the channel.

What is the best part of your day? The morning – it’s all downhill after that.
