Career so far: It's been varied. I've had 15-plus years with HP in sales and marketing, before joining the management team of service provider XTML, which was acquired by Telenor. I then worked with a number of start-up ventures as a marketing consultant and had a short period in Executive Search before joining Networks First at the end of last year.
If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? Karren Brady - and recruit a new group of Apprentices.
What would you have as your last meal? Cheese and red wine. Actually, I would be quite happy with just the red wine, but thought it looked better if I included the cheese.
What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? It would have to be a Grand Prix race when HP was a sponsor.
Do you see the cloud as a threat or an opportunity? An opportunity of course. I have been an advocate of the Service Provider model since early 2000.
Have any of your predictions come true this year? That everyone would continue to talk about convergence, but there are very few companies actually delivering converged solutions.
What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2011? Continuing to deliver value and not be drawn into just competing with each other on price.
What is the best part of your day? Going to bed, usually with a good book.
