Career so far:

I have spent 15 years in a variety of channel roles - five years in data storage roles.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do?

I'd be the guy at Almond Beach Resort, Barbados, who takes the tourists out to swim with turtles. Sun, sea, and a whole bunch of different people to speak to every day.

Cloud - friend or foe?

Friend. It's an opportunity for us all. Foe if you don't have a position or a point of view.

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be?

I'm glass half full. There's still plenty of business out there. Tough times sort the good from the bad.

What would you have as your last meal?

Chicken balti, pilau rice, tarka dahll and a chapati washed down by a cold, crisp Cobra beer.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with?

Clearly my number one choice would be my wife. Failing that, someone who can tell stories - perhaps Stephen Fry.

Have any of your predictions come true this year?

Yes. I predicted I would have less money in my bank account this year.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012?

Adaptation. How can partners adapt their business to take advantage of trends such as cloud and consumerisation?
What is the best part of your day? Returning to my family at the end of a hard working day.
