Career so far: I started off with a vendor, moved into distribution and eventually moved on to Ingram Micro working in the UK, Europe, Australia, Asia and now back again in the UK.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? The prime minister and I would change the income tax schemes currently in place.

Cloud - friend or foe? It is a long-term friend.

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? No, as in previous years there are niche segments that will always be growing at a faster rate than the general market; it's just a case of investing in the right areas to find and support their growth.

What would you have as your last meal? Beans on toast followed by bananas. Apparently it keeps you going.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Some have, but if I was a betting man I would be about even by now.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012? Profitable growth and credit.
