Managing director, Comms-care
Career so far I was part of the team that started Comms-care in 2002 – it’s our 10th anniversary this month. Everything before that is a distant memory!
If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be? Our chairman, Peter Lloyd. A week of sailing, driving a fleet of nice cars and drinking champagne would be pleasant.
What will next year’s most overhyped industry buzzword be? Overhyped is the wrong word as they present huge opportunities but I’m sure we will continue to read and hear about cloud and also BYOD.
Has 2012 been a good, bad or ugly year? Good year. We’ve continued to grow and develop key people. We’ve established new partnerships and strengthened existing relationships.
What would you have as your last meal? Just the wine list will do.
What keeps you awake at night? An uncomfortable heavily pregnant wife and no doubt a noisy baby by the time this is printed.
What piece of technology could you not be without? It has to be the iPhone. I feel lost without it.
Have any of your predictions come true this year? Business-wise, we over achieved our forecast which I predicted, so yes! Most of the others went horribly wrong.
What is the best partner/customer trip you have ever been on? That's a tough one as I’m lucky to have been on many. I’d have to say Comms-care’s 1st incentive trip which was in Finland a few years ago. A winter wonderland, amazing activities and sharing one or two drinks with a fantastic team.
What do you see as the channel’s biggest challenge in 2013? Embracing new technology and being in a position to service it. But don’t worry, I know someone that can help!
