Frank Salmon

Group managing director, CMS Distribution
What was the worst job you have ever had?
I can't say that I've ever disliked a job; I must love work.
Which actor would you pick to play you in a movie of your life?
Al Pacino. I'm sure he'd want to spend time with me to understand me; I would learn a lot about myself.
What do you do as your party trick?
Fooling myself, thinking I'll be ok tomorrow.
What is your favourite chocolate bar?
None; I don't have a sweet tooth.
What has been your career high point to date?
Receiving the ICT Person of the Year award last year.
Has 2014 been a good, bad or ugly year?
It's been a great year; we've relocated two warehouses, three offices and should deliver the best results in CMS's history and the economy is looking good for the future.
How would you explain the IT channel to a stranger without boring them to death?
I wouldn't - I'd give them a CRN subscription and let them read all about it.
Aside from the channel, my dream career would be... playing 1,000 games for Arsenal.
What major issues will the channel face in 2015?
I think it will be good, with a lack of innovation perhaps.
