Managing director, Networks First
What achievement are you most proud of?
In business, helping to build NFL into a class-leading services company with more than 100 great people who share our values.
What has been the biggest change in the channel since you started working in it?
It used to be all about hardware - now the soft stuff is so much more important.
What three things could you not live without?
1. Music, because there is a musical composition for all moods, days and occasions. 2. Flying my light aircraft because it's my escape - you can't think of anything else when you're pilot in command. 3. A good bottle of St Emilion to put everything else into perspective.
What has been your most embarrassing moment so far?
Organising a roundtable dinner for about 30 which was a complete fiasco. The food was late, cold and barely edible, wine was like vinegar and it had my name all over it. Total humiliation!
What do your family think you do all day?
Talk to people - and they're not wrong.
Who is your ultimate celeb crush?
Halle Berry. She's smart, confident and totally gorgeous.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Eating a whole bag of Revels - all to myself.
What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?
Appoint my wife as Chancellor of the Exchequer - she'd sort the nation's finances out double quick and she has an answer for everything they'd throw at me in PMQs.
Has 2015 been a good, bad or ugly year?
A good year. The present and the future are ours, stop whingeing about the past!
If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would you do?
I'd have been a test pilot - and quite possibly dead.
What major issues will the channel face in 2016?
Remaining competitive and value adding for customers that have more and more choice when it comes to satisfying their IT needs.
Today saw 14 of the UK IT channel's biggest hitters come together to determine the winners of CRN's WiC awards. But what does being a WiC judge actually involve? Doug Woodburn reports
