Career history: Co-founded Memset 14 years ago following business development roles at EasySpace and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting.

Measure of influence: Grown Memset from an initial £5,000 investment into a £6m-turnover firm. Kate was the youngest-ever main board member of Intellect, now known as TechUK.

Activities to advance women in tech: Champions the women in IT cause and actively looks to recruit women into technical roles, eight per cent of which at Memset are filled by women. Overall at the firm, 30 per cent of staff are women.
