Managing director, e92plus
What is your greatest career move to date?
Starting e92plus more than 27 years ago.
What is top of your bucket list?
Learn to fly a helicopter. It would make going to meetings a lot more fun.
What has changed most since you started working in the channel?
The view that distribution doesn't add value, not least that it's all about shifting product and the cloud doesn't need that. But we're what makes the channel work.
How do you think Brexit is going to affect the channel?
It will reduce investment in education, it will affect confidence and make the UK less attractive for overseas talent. But the channel is resilient, and we'll survive
and grow.
What is your least favourite task during the working day?
Deleting all the hundreds of emails that I get copied in on.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
An elephant, as I never forget anything.
If you won the big one on EuroMillions, what would you do?
I'd be on the Virgin Space list straight away.
What is your worst habit?
Lastminute.com.
How has 2016 been for you?
Expensive! We've made significant investments in the business this year, and we're excited about the results that will follow.
If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would be your dream career?
An astronaut, which would have made that space flight free.
What major issues will the channel face in 2017?
The same challenges will be there (competition, margin erosion and now Brexit). We just need to be creative to always come up with a new answer.
