Managing director, Synaxon UK
What is your greatest career move to date?
Joining Synaxon AG and then launching Synaxon UK.
What is top of your bucket list?
I know it's boring but I would really like to write a best seller.
What has changed most since you started working in the channel?
The size, power and price of computing technology - I started in the 1980s.
How do you think Brexit is going to affect the channel?
A short-term blip before the UK channel emerges as a world powerhouse.
What is your least favourite task during the working day?
I don't have one - I have the best job ever.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
According to the Chinese Zodiac, I was born in the year of the ox. Apparently they are diligent, reliable, honest, determined and ambitious, so I'll take that every time.
If you won the big one on EuroMillions, what would you do?
After the holiday I would get back to work, of course.
What is your worst habit?
I couldn't possibly share that information.
How has 2016 been for you?
Not fantastic because we didn't win a Channel Award.
If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would be your dream career?
One of the top professional golfers - money, recognition, travel, fresh air, longevity and great life style. It's just a shame I can't play the game. What major issues will the channel face in 2017? The biggest issue for the independent is finding time to truly understand the new opportunities in the technology world.
