Seventeen million people watched my wedding to Sue, No.2 from the West Midlands.
What has been your highlight of 2018 so far?
It must be that Westcoast is doing so well - evidenced by us now becoming the largest privately owned business in the Thames Valley for the first time and 21st in the Sunday Times Top Track.
Who would play you in the film of your life?
Ben Affleck - have you seen him in The Accountant (auditing with violence!); he is a superhero and is getting a little fatter these days!
Which tech firm (other than your own!) do you most admire?
As a competitor, it would be hard to look beyond Also in Europe - progressive, energetic and a great partner too. I love businesses that change the world for the better - Apple has changed my world.
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Taskmaster on Dave. Ballz on my iPhone!
What is the most irritating tech buzzphrase of 2018?
"We can't do that!" - yes you can!
What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?
Ban TCP (or making it odourless).
What's the biggest untapped opportunity facing the channel?
Too many to mention - but the IT channel should take its capability and efficiency to other areas of their customers' businesses.
What is your most treasured possession?
Emily and Charlie Tatham - less of a possession these days! But treasured none the less. Outside family - my top hat.
What do your family think you do all day?
Meetings, dress up, ring the bell, drinks, sell, enthuse - err, that IS what I do!
Who has been your mentor in business?
James Wickes, MD of Ideal Hardware - he saw something in me that I hadn't in myself. And Jane Green of EY - "There is no problem in business that is too big to fix."
