In this sponsored article, Autotask explains how it can help its partners gain competitive advantage in the mushrooming cloud backup and file sync and share (FSS) space

The IT landscape is shifting at such a breakneck pace, that businesses are struggling to keep up as they strive to execute a full digital transformation strategy.

As a result, companies are turning to MSPs in greater numbers to act as their virtual CIOs, and help them make the right technology choices as they push deeper into the cloud, with security and collaboration featuring among customers' top priorities in their digital transformation plans according to IDC.

Research house marketsandmarkets predicted the overall cloud storage market will be worth $74.9bn by 2021, growing at a CAGR of 26 per cent, signalling a huge opportunity.

However, the onus is also on cloud vendors to deliver to partners, and it is why Autotask has been investing heavily in providing localised support for its European channel, opening three offices in the space of a year in Amsterdam, Manchester and Copenhagen.

At its Autotask CommLive event in Amsterdam in April, the vendor's messaging was centered on helping its MSPs deliver more unified managed services through its recently launched Endpoint Backup Partner Programme, and its ongoing Workplace Partner Programme.

Autotask is also actively recruiting new partners for both programmes, with key products including Autotask Endpoint Backup - its cloud-based file-and-folder backup offering; and Autotask Workplace - its enterprise-grade FSS product.

Len DiCostanzo, SVP of channel development at Autotask (pictured), told CRN how partner profitability is at the heart of its strategy.

"The Autotask Partner Programme enables IT service providers and MSPs to drive leads and win new business for two of the hottest and most critical managed service offerings on the market today, cloud backup and file sync and share (FSS)," he explained.

"The Endpoint Backup and Workplace Partner programmes provide the technical, sales and marketing resources our partners need to easily add a backup and FSS solution to their services portfolio," he added.  "The programmes are designed to help our partners gain a competitive advantage, grow recurring revenue, increase profitability and improve client satisfaction and retention. We want to help our partners reduce time to revenue and take advantage of the growing market opportunities for backup and FSS."

Benefits of the two programmes include technical support, a partner playbook and a partner toolkit.
