What do you love most about the IT industry? The pace of change and the ability to make a difference.
Which company do you most admire or respect in the IT business? Samsung is one to watch for the future.
Which individual do you most admire or respect in the IT business? Ashley Ford, ex-Xerox, Samsung, and now at Zebra.
What is the biggest technology trend you anticipate in the next 12 months? Wireless technology for the home.
What is the one thing working in the technology industry has taught you? Despite the pace of change, don't be rushed into making big decisions.
Where do you think the channel will be in five years time? Further rationalisation is inevitable across the whole channel. Organisations that can demonstrate a service differential will thrive. The e-business reseller channel will evolve, become far more sophisticated and grow significantly. This is a much larger threat to retail than I believe is currently recognised.
Which do you think is the most influential vendor in the UK? Probably a brand we don't work with.
How do you unwind or spend your spare time? Being with my family and friends. Playing tennis. Spending as much time as possible in Spain with my family.
Where is your favourite place to eat? Probably Ravenwood Hall near Bury St Edmunds.
What is your favourite drink? Wine, especially from New Zealand.
What is your favourite TV programme or film? The Office.
Who is your favourite musician, band, artist or genre? No favourite, but Seal, UB40 and Harry Connick Jnr are often on in the car.
What is your favourite book? To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
What career would you have pursued if you hadn't worked in the channel? Probably a marketing role with Vauxhall Motors.
What is your personal ambition? To retire from the IT channel within the next five years.
