Career outline I started my career in 1989 as a sales rep for Konica Business Machines. I went on to work at Cavelle Data Systems as business development manager and was introduced to Simon Aron who became my business partner in Eurodata Systems.

What motivates you every morning to get up and work in the channel? I enjoy the fast pace and speed of change.

What has been the most over-hyped technology in the past five years? Public Key Infrastructure, because thousands of pounds of investment has gone in to this technology with little return.

What will be the most underrated technology in the next five years? IPTV will supercede and revolutionise television as we know today.

Which technology would you most like to have invented? The internet.

Do you have any regrets from your time in the industry? No.

If you could swap places with anyone in the industry, who would it be? The guys who started YouTube, because they made a very quick buck.

What is the biggest hurdle you have faced in your career? Constantly changing the business and getting the timing right.

What is the biggest success of your career? Building a great managed service offering and dramatically increasing the sales volume.

What piece of technology could you not live without? My phone and email.

What would be your advice to anyone starting a career in IT? Think big and be brave.
