Career outline After several roles in sales and recruitment, I joined MicroWarehouse in 1993, where I worked my way up to product merchandising director. Then I joined PC World Business in 2002 as trading director.

What motivates you every morning to get up and work in the channel? Making a difference everyday, no matter how small.

What has been the most over-hyped technology in the past five years? CRM.

What will be the most underrated technology in the next five years? Software configuration management.

Which technology would you most like to have invented? MRI scanning.

What is the biggest hurdle you have faced in your career? The relative slow down post year 2000.
