DTI set to wind up five resellers

Closures in the 'public interest', says ministry

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) wants to shut down five Essex-based resellers, claiming that the move is in the "public interest".

Petitions have been presented in the High Court to wind up Nu-tech Supplies, Oracal Systems, Pastel Holdings, Norad Marketing and Triteck Electrical following investigations carried out by the DTI's Companies Investigation Branch under Section 447 of the 1985 Companies Act.

Nu-Tech, Oracal and Pastel are based at the same address in the Lakes Industrial Park, Braintree, Essex. Dean Edward Morter is listed as director of all three businesses, and Edward Charles Parker is company secretary.

Triteck Electrical is based in Maldon, Essex, and director Simon Manthorpe was a former employee of Nu-Tech and former secretary of Oracal Systems.

A DTI representative said it could not make any further comment on the situation. The Official Receiver, an executive agency of the DTI, has been appointed liquidator.
