Admiral commands enterprise presence
VAR sets sail for enterprise space as it grabs higher level certification status with Aastra
Plain sailing: Admiral has already become an Aastra Certified enterprise partner
SME-specialised reseller Admiral Voice and Data is launching into the enterprise arena after bagging accreditations from vendor partner Aastra.
The Luton-based comms and IT specialist is part of the wider Admiral Group and contributes about £7m to the company’s £28m annual revenue. Admiral Voice and Data’s managing director Paul Allen revealed that last year his company had increased profit on flat revenue.
He indicated he was targeting top and bottom line growth this year, adding that Admiral would recruit staff for the enterprise push.
“For SME resellers, everything is geared to monthly results,” he said. “The enterprise market is tender driven and needs a different approach, but it is a space we have dabbled in.”
Aastra recently accredited Admiral as a Premier partner for SME products and a Certified enterprise partner. Allen claimed he wanted to push towards becoming a top-level enterprise specialist.
“It is a massive journey that will need a lot of time and money, but it is one that we are prepared to take,” he said.
Aastra’s UK and Ireland general manager Michael Calvert revealed that Admiral was one of four of Aastra’s traditional SME partners to express a desire to become an enterprise player.
“These accreditations are recognition of Admiral’s depth and range of experience with SME products,” added Calvert.
