2X builds UK channel presence
Virtualisation vendor invests in its indirect strategy by opening dedicated UK office and bolstering local channel team
Building blocks: 2X is laying its channel foundations by opening a dedicated UK office
Enterprise virtualisation vendor 2X Software is cementing its ties with the channel by opening a new UK office and appointing a dedicated team.
The firm has hired four people including sales, marketing and technical staff and is investing in a new reseller training programme and training facilities at its premises in Kingston-upon-Thames and Crewe.
Paul Robinson, newly appointed business development director at 2X Software, said: “By working closely with our already strong reseller base and introducing 2X to new partners, we will grow our market share by 100 per cent through education, marketing and introducing new channel incentives.”
The vendor is also embarking on a reseller recruitment drive, spearheaded by Robinson, to capitalise on growing demand for virtualisation, both on the server and the desktop side. Benefits it claims to offer new and existing partners are lead generation and pre-sales support covering planning, deployment and licensing queries.
“Virtualisation is big business and many resellers realise this,” added Robinson. “We are keen to attract the right calibre of resellers ranging from large system integrators to smaller dedicated resellers.”
Nikalaos Makris, chief executive of 2X Software, said: “There is a huge opportunity to help us grow this successful key market and this team is extremely experienced in the thin client and virtualisation space.”
