London HQ is capital idea for Calyx
MSP claims closure of Hampshire outpost will not affect customer service as it opens doors on swanky City base
Brady: it is vital we focus our activities in a more central location
Calyx has closed its Hook office and opened new UK headquarters in the City of London to bring it closer to financial services customers.
The managed service provider's capital hub opens tomorrow and has hot-desking facilities and meeting space for up to 50 staff. It will replace Calyx's Rainford digs as UK head office, in line with the firm's focus on the financial services vertical.
Calyx chief executive Tara Brady claimed the closure of his firm's Hampshire office was unrelated. He stressed the employees who worked there were given the chance to move to different locations.
"With an increased focus on the London financial market, it is vital we focus our activities in a more central location," he said. "The closure of Hook was an independent activity and the handful of staff who were based there were offered the opportunity to work from alternative locations.
"The closure of Hook will not affect customer service in any way. In fact, our new location will only help to improve it."
