Compaq accused of overstuffing

A class-action lawsuit was launched against Compaq, accusing it of defrauding the market by stuffing the channel and withholding information on channel inventories. Compaq CEO Eckhard Pfieffer and CFO Earl Mason are accused of 'false and misleading statements during the Class Period'. Meanwhile, IBM was expected to report this week its first earnings fall in two years.
