ATL sends I-Sentral through Norwood Adam
ATL Networks has announced it will make its I-Sentral range of managed network security services available to resellers through distributor Norwood Adam.
Under the agreement, Norwood Adam's resellers will be able to sell ATL's managed services, including virtual private networks, email and firewalls.
Norwood Adam is also promising resellers a 20 per cent margin on sales of future upgrades, even if VARs do not carry out the upgrades themselves.
Manny Pinon, sales and marketing director at Norwood Adam, said: "Traditionally, companies are offered hardware to sit on their networks and they have to manage the system themselves. We are now offering resellers a hosted service that will be managed and upgraded on a customer's behalf.
"Resellers will get 20 per cent margin up front and with any upgrades."
Pinon claimed managed upgrades make the service ideal for an SME client base.
"If you are an SME reseller, the last thing you want to do is continually go back to customers to upgrade their systems. The advantage with this offer is that we will do it on the reseller's behalf," he pointed out.
Alan Lloyd, business development manager at reseller Genesis Telecommunications, said: "The human resources required for managing security are scarce and expensive. This deal will give resellers the opportunity to build margins if they can gain good service-level agreements.
"Many of our customers, from high-end SMEs to larger corporates, are interested in the I-Sentral product and we are pushing it as a result."
