Dometile faces receivers after Ideal?s action
Reseller Dometile has gone into receivership following action taken by Ideal Hardware.
Sunbury-based Dometile was a reseller of peripherals, software and networking products. It is understood that it bought Panasonic monitors from Ideal.
The firm wrote to Ideal in September 1996 saying it was not in a position to pay invoices dating back to June. Ideal in turn issued Dometile with a demand for payment within five days. The reseller?s failure to pay within this period led to the appointment of an official receiver.
Dometile?s last posted results were for 1994, when turnover stood at #200,000. The reseller had a staff of only five and a negative net worth of about #3,000 in 1995.
In a statement about Dometile, Ideal said: ?The official receiver has been in contact with Ideal Hardware and is seeking information regarding the company and directors.?
No one from Dometile was available to comment.
