OKI unleashes veteran on Scottish channel

Vendor nabs more staff from Danwood to give Scottish partners a helping hand

Vendor OKI Printing Solutions has poached another Danwood luminary in the form of George Lawson.

Appointed as the vendor's new channel development manager in Scotland, Lawson becomes the second former Danwood employee in three months to make the leap – OKI also enlisted Bill Allan, previously commercial sales director for Scotland at Danwood, as sales director in October.

Commenting on Lawson’s appointment Allan said: "Having known George from Danwood, I knew he would be the perfect candidate for our OKI Scottish office.

"Our employees in both Cumbernauld and Slough have great insight into understanding the printing industry and it is a great pleasure to add to this expertise. George's appointment comes at an exciting time for OKI, with the company actively developing its product portfolio and strengthening its senior management team."

Bringing 29 years of experience with him Lawson will be based at OKI's manufacturing plant in Cumbernauld.
