AG Neovo seeks VARs for frame
Vendor signs distribution deal with Widget for V-10 frame
Display vendor AG Neovo is looking for additional resellers to help it push its digital photo frame which was launched just before Christmas.
AG Neovo has taken on specialist distributor Widget to sell the V-10 frame, while the vendor’s LCD monitor distributors – Midwich, Paysan and Azzurri – are also being encouraged to stock the V-10.
Robert Sung, UK sales manager at AG Neovo, told CRN: “Currently the frame is mainly being sold through online e-tailers such as Amazon and Scan. We’d like more online resellers to stock it and we also want to create a retail channel for the product.
“I’d like for it to be in at least one UK retail store – discussions are ongoing with retailers, but we have to consider the likes of John Lewis, Jessops and Dixons Group,” he added.
Sung also claimed it was a good add-on product for channel partners.
“Although it is mainly aimed at consumers, there are business applications for it such as estate agents using it to show clients photos of properties,” he said.
While AG Neovo admitted it is not first to market with a digital photo frame, he claimed the V-10 stands out because it is operated via touch screen technology rather than buttons.
Lee Baker, divisional manager for home entertainment and displays at Midwich, said: “AG Neovo has come out with a high-end frame at a decent price. It looks good and the touch-screen element will appeal to users. We’ve been selling Philips frames since last year and are due to take on Samsung’s in May.”
Jonathan Wall, marketing manager at Dabs, added: “We sell Philips frames and have seen demand for them grow quickly in the past six months. Philips was the pioneer of these frames, but now every man and his dog manufactures one. It is all down to the look of them.”
