Ingram appoints new EMEA finance head
Broadliner signs Colin Bond as chief financial officer to spearhead its financial strategy going forward
Distribution behemoth Ingram Micro Europe has appointed Colin Bond as its new senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Effective 1 August, Bond will report to Jay Forbes, president of Ingram Micro Europe. Before joining Ingram, Bond headed the finance organisation at Ecolab Germany and has also held positions at Price Waterhouse Management Consultants and Arthur Andersen. He will be based at the distributor's EMEA headquarters in Brussels.
Forbes said: "I am confident that Colin's leadership will support and stimulate our finance team in achieving a best-in-class cost performance for Ingram Micro EMEA. Working closely with the business operations strategy group, he will provide the analysis, insight and guidance required for delivering consistent operational excellence throughout the organization. More specifically, he will be responsible for developing and implementing finance objectives, plans and strategies to further the growth of the organisation in a challenging environment.”
Bond added, “Ingram Micro EMEA has recently initiated a number of change initiatives that will deliver greater value to its business partners, its employees and its shareholders. Joining the organisation at this point in time offers exciting new challenges that I’m looking forward to embracing.”
