CopyLogic takes up residence in Lloyds

Paper-based banking and financial services sector targeted with new CopyLogic location in City

CopyLogic has set up an office in the iconic Lloyds building in the City of London

Document management specialist CopyLogic has opened a new office inside the famous Lloyds of London building to take advantage of booming demand for its services in the insurance industry.

Alex Cook, sales director at the Harrow-based VAR, said its new office on One Lime Street should smooth its path to new deals, while also allowing it to better serve its present customer base.

“Banking and financial services are very much paperwork-oriented businesses, so are doing high volumes. We also wanted to differentiate ourselves from other people in the market,” said Cook.

“We won a few Lloyds accounts and big 500+ company accounts a few years ago, and decided we wanted to push further into that marketplace,” Cook added.

Partnering with document management software maker Avanquest and a range of others, including Kyocera, and HP office supplies partner Netstationers, CopyLogic aims to add value to printer and photocopier deals by bundling in software and services.

Cook said the insurance market meant holding regular events and building closer relationships, and the financial sector was edging towards recovery. “People are beginning to get confident again,” he said.

Lord Levene, Lloyds chairman, said in a statement that insurance is important in tough times. “In a recession, the speed at which customers or suppliers will escalate litigation must be considered,” he said.
