Alcatel-Lucent partner installs IP telephony system at four-star Four Pillars Hotel in Gloucestershire

Alcatel-Lucent partner NextiraOne has installed an IP telephony system at The Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel.

The four star hotel, in South Cerney, Gloucestershire, has opted to install digital handsets in each of its 219 bedrooms. It has also installed them in conference rooms and managers have been equipped with cordless digital handsets.

The hotel, which opened in August of last year, will be using an Alcatel-Lucent platform for call management and billing. It will also now be linked to Four Pillars head office and a centralised reservation centre, with all three being able to make free internal calls to each other.

Peter Tebbutt, regional support centre director for Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise activities in the UK and Ireland, said: “By leveraging its investment in IP telephony, the hotel is able to integrate its network, people, processes and collected knowledge of the staff to enhance its overall guest experience.”

Communications reseller NextiraOne, who carried out the installation, are headquartered in Paris and have previously worked in the UK installing unified communications for retailer Poundland and Bromsgrove District Council.
