Equiinet listed on Sunday Times Tech Track 100
Security vendor comes in at number 87 on technology ranking table
Security appliance vendor Equiinet has made it into the Sunday Times 2006 Tech Track 100 for the first time.
The UK-based vendor, whose flagship products include its SecurePilot and CachePilot appliances, charted at number 87 in the prestigious list, which ranks the UK’s fastest-growing private technology firms, based on sales growth over the last two years.
Keith Baker, managing director at Equiinet, said the firm’s 100 per cent channel strategy had helped it achieve its aggressive growth plans.
“We have a loyal band of VARs in the UK and we are constantly working with them to drive business,” he said. “Education has been one of our major markets and we have been involved in many large deals over the past two years with our partners.”
Baker said Equiinet, which has seen annual growth of 44 per cent over the past three financial years, has also helped a number of its resellers to grow their business at the same time.
“We are planning to continue winning larger deals alongside our partners and will be releasing technology centred on data backup and storage capabilities,” he said.
Peter Hodgson, chief executive of distributor Telocator, said: “We have worked with Equiinet for the past eight years. It is a key player in the education security space in which we operate. It supplies platforms that are easy for schools and Local Education Authorities to deploy. Its products meet the changing demands of the IT security environment.”
