Azlan claims UCS first
Distributor reckons it is has stolen a march on rivals after making first C-Series shipments
French: Further investments underlines position we have already established
Azlan has scored a Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) first by claiming it is the first distributor to ship UCS C-Series units in the UK.
The enterprise arm of Computer 2000 purports to have made a seven-figure up-front investment in Cisco’s new server architecture and is now stepping up its plans to “on-board” resellers.
All of the distributor’s Cisco team are fully trained in Cisco C-Series and two briefing events for resellers have already been held, Azlan said.
More of these are now being scheduled across the UK, while Azlan is also luring VARs with the promise of assistance with demonstrations, access to special Cisco marketing funding, and extra sales and marketing support.
Azlan UK director Ian French, said: “Right from the start, Azlan has taken the leadership position with Cisco C-Series and these further investments will underline the position that we have already established as the partner of choice for Cisco resellers on the UCS range.”
As well as claiming it is the first distributor to ship C-Series systems, Azlan also said it is the first to offer full availability of C-Series inventory and stressed it is ready to fulfil orders immediately.
