Barlow nabs former Equanet IT boss
Mark Reed joins Servium as chief technology officer
Half of the employees of Paul Barlow's new venture are ex Equanet
Paul Barlow continues to kit out new reseller venture Servium with former Equanet employees.
Having already nabbed five staff impacted by the closure of Equanet’s Surbiton office in December, Servium has enlisted former Equanet IT and development director Mark Reed as its chief technology officer.
Barlow – who headed up Equanet when it was sold to DSGi in 2005 before leaving the firm in 2007 – said about half of Servium’s staff were ex Equanet.
“It is down to the quality of people and their passion and enthusiasm,” he said.
Reed will be tasked with creating the systems and processes Servium runs on and helping the firm achieve the ISO 9000 accreditation.
Barlow also revealed that Servium, which was formed in January, has gained Silver status with software vendor Citrix.
