Foundry names sales manager
Foundry appoints new sales manager
Networking vendor Foundry has appointed Dave Watkins as UK sales manager to help boost its customer base and reassess its channel strategy.
Andy Palmer, former head of EMEA sales, parted company with Foundry last year (CRN, 31 January).
Watkins said: “I’m looking to build our customer base. New products have come over from the US and they should be coming to market in the next few quarters. I’m assessing our channel strategy and meeting with partners and customers.”
Keith Humphreys, managing consultant at analyst EuroLAN, said Foundry had divided its European operations into continental mainland and UK and Ireland. “It wants to concentrate on the service provider market,” he added.
Palmer told CRN his departure was by “mutual agreement” and was quick to back the Foundry set-up. “Foundry has good products, but it needs to get the sales people. If it gets strong leaders then it will do well,” he said.
