InTechnology in good shape
Distributor promises to continue its managed services division expansion
Distributor InTechnology will continue to expand its managed services division in 2007, after claiming it has ended its financial year 2006 in a strong position.
The distributor, which sold its Allasso European business to Magirus earlier this year (CRN, 3 April), saw UK turnover drop from £217m in 2005 to £210m in 2006. Total group turnover was up from £283.5m in 2005 to £284.7m in 2006. Overall the group posted an operating loss of £6.2m, compared with £0.3m in 2005.
Peter Wilkinson, chief executive of InTechnology, said: “The clear objectives for the coming year are to continue growing our managed services business, and to focus on key areas in our UK distribution business.”
Phil Codling, analyst at Ovum, said: “A move that should help InTechnology improve profits in 2007 is the sale of Allasso.”
