OfficeMetrics hunts BI and SharePoint specialists

Workforce analytics vendor promises potential partners margins of up to 55 per cent

Resellers with skills in SharePoint can add value, says OfficeMetrics

Workforce analytics vendor OfficeMetrics is hunting for UK resellers specialising in Microsoft SharePoint or business intelligence after launching a three-tier partner programme.

OfficeMetrics claims to have enjoyed solid success in its native Ireland but will spend the next 12-18 months focusing on building a UK channel.

The firm’s software enables employees and employers to track and manage how time is spent at work, leading to claimed productivity savings of seven to 15 per cent.

The partner programme splits resellers into three tiers. Referral partners will net margins of 15 per cent. Higher-level Certified and Solution partners will earn between 30 and 55 per cent, depending on the size of the deal, and will gain access to a range of sales, technical, sales enablement and marketing support.

OfficeMetrics managing director Jon Mulligan said his firm was hunting for no more than 10 UK Certified and Solution partners.

He told CRN: “Those that will be most interested are those that can add value in areas such as business intelligence or helping customers roll out things like SharePoint which can improve productivity. Our preference is for a small number of high-quality partners.”

Mulligan said that OfficeMetrics competes against the likes of Websense in the gateway-blocking arena but that its software license rationalisation capabilities also throw it into competition with Microsoft.

“Microsoft has a tool in this area but it does not capture the depth of information we do in terms of how the software is used and how often,” he added. “No other workforce analytics company out there helps clients track and analyse activity in the workplace and then gives information back to the employees and managers.”

The vendor’s sweet spot is firms with more than 100 employees, Mulligan said.
