Logitek to set up sales squad
Veteran distributor Logitek has set up a dedicated sales team to capitalise on its fast-growing Toshiba business.
The company has set up a five-strong team to handle all trade enquiries on notebooks, portables, and related products, including PCMCIA cards and modems, memory upgrades, carry cases, docking stations, portable printers and cell phones.
Logitek has borrowed the sales model from its networking business, where it operates specialist teams for 3Com and Bay Networks.
Director of business development Brian Wheaton said dedicated teams made life easier for resellers, delivering instant access to information, and better product knowledge and support.
Logitek is currently recruiting dealers as Toshiba associates, the bottom tier in the Toshiba reseller hierarchy.
