Phoenix puts its Trust in developing channel
Endpoint security vendor launches Trusted Partner Network across Europe
Endpoint security software vendor Phoenix Technologies has launched its Trusted Partner Network across Europe as it looks to grab market share.
The Network provides partners with tools and resources based around the vendor’s flagship Recover Pro and TrustConnector product set.
Robert Mol, senior director of EMEA distribution at Phoenix, said: “We are aggressively establishing partnerships in four core areas: the UK, Benelux, Germany and France. We are developing into an applications company, and the ideal way to sell our products is through the channel.”
Phoenix wants to recruit a total of 150 resellers in the UK. It is working with its sole distributor Wick Hill to provide training and certification for interested partners.
“We have an online certification programme set up for resellers and we are looking to have all of our channel partners trained and ready to go by the end of next year,” Mol said.
He added that the firm is seeing particular success in the finance, government and industrial markets. Phoenix is “100 per cent committed” to driving partner sales in these key markets, Mol claimed.
“We usually have two value-added distributors per country, but it depends on the performance of each individual distribution partner as to whether we appoint a second,” he added.
Ian Kilpatrick, chairman of the Wick Hill Group, said: “Phoenix is a long-established company with a huge installed base and a proven reputation. For our channel partners, it offers good margins as well as value-add and service opportunities.
“The Phoenix solutions are extremely Microsoft-aware, so the sales opportunities are as large as the Microsoft installed base.”
