Damovo lands Irish contract

VAR wins Office of Revenue Commissioners deal

Damovo’s Irish outpost has bagged a significant converged voice, data and video contract with the country’s Office of Revenue Commissioners.

John McCabe, managing director at Damovo Ireland, said the VAR was currently working on the initial roll-out after winning the contract last Autumn.

“All the usual suspects were there offering Cisco, whereas we were offering a joint Polycom and Interwise solution,” he said. “We’ve worked with the Revenue Commissioners for eight or nine years so we have a strong relationship with them.”

McCabe said the victory would put Damovo in pole position to snap up similar contracts with other public sector bodies over the next 18 months.

The deal is believed to be Ireland’s first public sector video over IP rollout.
