Intrinsic treats Gwent NHS Trust's network
VAR wins contract to supply a converged voice and data infrastructure to help the Trust look to the future
Unified communications specialist Intrinsic Technology has won a lucrative contract to supply Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust with a converged voice and data contact centre shared infrastructure.
The installation will help the Trust, which employs 15,000 staff and spans 60-plus sites, roll out future deployments within its Clinical Futures Programme.
It will also mean the Trust can integrate new technologies such as collaborative working and videoconferencing to open up new ways of working for other healthcare service providers and departments.
Andrew Evans, head of telecommunications at the Trust, said: “We are very excited about this project and it provides a key cornerstone of our telecommunications road map.
“With Intrinsic’s proven ability to provide the health sector with the very best IT solutions, I am sure this is the beginning of a long and productive partnership.”
Adam Jarvis, sales director at Intrinsic Technology, added: “We are harnessing the latest IP communications technology to provide a very sophisticated, multi-service network for Gwent Healthcare Trust.
“Ultimately, this network will contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of clinical services and make the Trust’s working environment more flexible and productive.”
