Distributor hires storage veteran from rival to help build up storage unit

Computer 2000 (C2000) has poached its new storage guru from rival Ideal as it looks to bolster its storage portfolio.

Eddie Moore has joined the firm as mass storage business manager within the broadliner’s PC components and supplies business unit.

Speaking to CRN, Moore said: “I am still on a learning curve about how C2000 works, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the investment it has in systems.

“I hope to bring something slightly different to the table because I have a strong technical understanding of storage, so I understand what resellers need, both from a business and technical point of view.”

Moore said he would consider partnering with more storage vendors. “However, I don’t want to do this to the detriment of our existing vendors,” he said.
