Gary Fowle's replacement is announced by vendor

Fujitsu has confirmed that Darren Neath will take up the role of UK channel manager

Fujitsu Technology Solutions (Fujitsu) has confirmed the appointment of its new UK channel director in the form of Darren Neath.

CRN revealed his appointment yesterday, as the replacement for Gary Fowle, who is leaving the company next month to head up Microsoft's OEM business.

Neath was previously channel sales manager at Fujitsu, a position that he has held for the past year. He was previously head of distribution sales, a position he held for 18 months.

Paul Parrish, managing director of Fujitsu, said: "This is an important appointment for Fujitsu and one that underlines our commitment to our channel partners.

"Darren has vast experience of working with distributors and resellers at all levels and has the insight, drive and determination to ensure that Fujitsu continues to be the partner of choice for partners that want to work with a vendor that is genuinely committed to working with them and helping them to drive profitable business development and long-term growth.

Parrish added: “Fujitsu is absolutely committed to its strategy of working with channel partners to grow its enterprise business with PRIMERGY server and ETERNUS storage solutions and increasing its presence in the mobile and desktop markets."

Neath said in a statement: “I’m delighted to be taking up this new role and very much looking forward to working with our existing channel partners, extending the reach of our partner account management team and building new relationships with resellers that share our vision and commitment to excellence and profitable business development.”

Parrish also praised the outgoing Fowle for his work at the company.

“We would like to thank Gary for the hard work and effort he has put in over the years," he said. "He has been a loyal servant to Fujitsu and we wish him every success in his future career.”
