Civica books in with Peterborough library

Reseller wins contract with city's library service to revamp its back office infrastructure

Software VAR Civica has won a contract to overhaul Peterborough City Council Libraries' back office infrastructure.

The library has opted to implement Civica’s Spydus library management service across all 12 of its libraries, including two mobile units.

Civica claims the system will help the library streamline lending and administration processes, cut down on paperwork and will integrate with the council’s wider infrastructure.

Simon Parkes, director of Civica, said: “Greater library service flexibility, integration with existing IT systems and evolution, are all important characteristics of Civica’s Spydus. It is important that we offer customers a solution that can address a multitude of demands as well as customer experience.

“Our work with Peterborough continues to demonstrate the possibilities for efficiency while also improving services.”
