Onyx signs 30/30 Vision as UK partner

Customer relationship management software vendor Onyx is taking its first big step into the UK channel by signing a partnership deal with startup 30/30 Vision.

Customer relationship management (CRM) software vendor Onyx is taking its first big step into the UK channel by signing a partnership deal with startup 30/30 Vision.

The e-CRM reseller, founded by former senior executives of Great Plains, is aiming its e-CRM software at the mid-market sector. Under the partnership deal, it will sell, implement and support Onyx products in the UK.

Claire Coughlan, UK indirect channel sales manager, said the partnership represents a "very exciting deal" for Onyx, which until now has mainly focused on a direct-sales approach rather than using the channel.

The company intends to become more partner-focused, she said, and aims to expand its channel to "fulfil the gap in the small to medium sized enterprise marketplace".

Neil Robertson, chief executive of 30/30 Vision, and a former co-founder of enterprise resource planning vendor Great Plains' UK subsidiary, said the company went through a rigorous selection process to choose Onyx as its vendor.

"We have carried out a very extensive due diligence of e-CRM vendors over the past five months and specified a number of key criteria," he said.

"We examined issues such as the depth and breadth of application functionality, ease of navigation, technology infrastructure, available platforms and the productivity levels of the tailoring tool sets," he added.

Robertson explained that 30/30 Vision needed software which was simple to use and easy to learn because many businesses would be using e-CRM software for the first time.

"Onyx has built a business culture that clearly demonstrates it practices what it preaches, rather than just following the market hype," he said.
