Azlan forms International Business Team

Distributor unveils unit focused on helping VARs and vendors with international orders

Distributor Azlan has completed the formation of its International Business Team (IBT) to help vendor and reseller partners do business across borders.

The IBT will be based at Azlan’s European administrative hub in York and will have account management staff based in all 16 countries where Azlan has a presence. The team will work using both central and local models incorporating shipping to multiple places or individual locations.

Invoices are managed from a single point of contact but can be generated and issued either from York or satellite offices. The IBT will help partners with issues concerning shipping, import duties, VAT and compliancy. Azlan claims the team will be committed to offering high levels of service and flexibility to help meet the tailored requirements of vendors and VARs alike.

Steve Cant, director of enterprise and access networking for Azlan Europe, said: “In today’s climate, producing initiatives which add value and increased profitability to partner relations is key to developing long-term growth.

"With the IBT, Azlan offers partners a unique ability to rapidly deliver core products internationally leveraging best in class logistics, VAT and import and export expertise with service attachment and configuration.”

Azlan EMEA’s director of enterprise international accounts, Jan Van Springel, added: “Despite economic challenges, international business in Europe is still rising and partners increasingly need the ability to respond swiftly and efficiently to product requirements in different countries.

"Without specific expertise in the import and export regulations of each country, the complexities of national and EC trading regulations can make business difficult, time-consuming and expensive.”
