ACC?s Tigris raises skills questions
Networking specialist ACC is tightening up its accreditation programme for distributors as it introduces modem technology for the first time. The vendor this week launched Tigris, a #60,000 modem system that combines dial-in, dedicated access, Lan/Wan protocol support and routing in one platform. The vendor supplies its products through distribution partners Data Connectivity, Unity and Logitek. Martin Cassidy, vice president of ACC EMEA, said: ?All our channels are capable of getting Tigris expertise. The Accolade accreditation programme will be refined in June ? anyone who has access to Tigris needs to have certain skill levels.? He said there were no plans to start shuffling partners but ACC was seeking more resellers to work closely with distributors. Nick Morse, formerly at Sonix and most recently at ISDN vendor Acotec, is working as a freelance consultant for ACC.
