Software giant signs definitive agreement to acquire DLP vendor

Software giant CA has signed a definitive agreement to acquire data loss prevention vendor Orchestria for an undisclosed sum.

The move is CA’s third security-related acquisition in as many months, acquiring Eurekify in November and IDFocus in October.

As a result, CA plans to develop and sell Orchestria’s DLP product as part of its identity and access management offering, which it claims will help end users consolidate and strengthen their security profiles.
