Kcorp signs distributors
Vendor makes deals with Micro P. and CCD
Wireless networking vendor Kcorp has signed distribution agreements with Micro Peripherals and Computacenter Distribution (CCD) to gain wider reach for its products.
Micro P will focus on channel sales to the small-office/home-office market, with CCD serving the enterprise and public-sector markets.
Deepak Khanchandani, managing director of Kcorp, said: "Micro P and CCD are very big in their respective areas. Resellers gave a lot of positive feedback on the merits of both companies.
"CCD and Kcorp will collaborate on tender opportunities from local education authorities, city councils and other government bodies, with Kcorp bringing in leads and contacts, and CCD utilising Kcorp equipment to fulfil these leads," he said.
According to analyst Insight, the market for Wi-Fi equipment and services is expected to grow from $7bn in 2003 to $44bn by 2008, a compounded annual rate of 44 per cent.
"The rise of mobile working is helping to fuel sales of wireless networking equipment. All the signs are positive," claimed Khanchandani.
Anthony Catterson, managing director of Micro P, said: "We have one of the strongest customer databases in the UK, especially in the SME sector, and will help to increase Kcorp's customer base among IT resellers. The channel will be provided with greater choice to meet the wireless networking needs of users."
