Computacenter Services acquires Digica
Services division of VAR giant adds to datacentre, remote services and applications management portfolio with latest acquisition
Computacenter Services has acquired infrastructure management VAR Digica for £15.9m.
The infrastructure and services giant will also settle debts of £12.1m on behalf of Digica, and claims the acquisition will enhance its datacentre, remote services and applications management offerings.
Digica provides datacentre managed services and SAP/Oracle application services from purpose built datacentres in Nottingham, Warrington, Leeds and an off-shore centre in Cape Town, South Africa.
Simon Walsh, Managing Director of Computacenter Services said: “I’m excited about the opportunities this creates for our collective clients, of which there is limited overlap. Specifically, the opportunity to bring a broader services portfolio through Digica to their clients, and strengthen our datacentre operations via existing Digica assets and competencies”.
Mark Howling, Chief Executive of Digica, said: “This is a very exciting development for Digica and supports our objective to become recognised as the leading supplier of IT managed services and outsourcing to medium sized public and private sector organisations.
"Our clients will benefit from access to the resources and capabilities of Computacenter, whilst continuing to enjoy their position as valued and significant customers of a business dedicated to this segment. We have been looking very carefully for the right opportunity to expand our capacity and capability and I am delighted we have become a part of Computacenter”.
