IP telephony vendor Zultys has launched a wireless voice over IP (VoIP) handset featuring SIP, voice encryption, a 12-hour standby time, presence awareness, instant messaging and three-way conferencing.
“We received a large number of enquiries from customers and resellers about Wi-Fi handsets,” said Iain Milnes, president and founder of Zultys. “People are buying from vendors such as Aruba and Trapeze.”
The firm parted company with voice distributor VComm recently.
Jess Thompson-Hughes, managing director of Zultys and Aruba reseller React Technologies, said Zultys could very well have come up with the first affordable business handset.
“We have been asking Zultys about wireless phones for long time,” he said. “We have found that consumer-grade phones lack the right level of business functions.”
