Adaptec job cuts

Adaptec will make 250 job cuts before 30 June. The manufacturer of connectivity products anticipates a restructuring charge of between $8 million and $12 million during its first quarter. According to Grant Saviers, Adaptec chairman and CEO, the company 'was forced to take this difficult measure in response to turmoil in the PC industry. Announcements by other companies indicate these trends will continue. While the reduction will affect all locations, the move will focus on our US workforce.'
