IronKey tempts VARs with latest programme
Secure flash drive vendor scouts for niche security VARs and corporate resellers
Secure flash drive vendor IronKey is revamping its channel programme in a bid to snare more UK partners.
From 1 April, partners will fall into one of three tiers: Elite Solution partners with specialist security practices; Elite partners with vertical market expertise; and Authorised partners.
The top two levels will gain access to market development funding for the first time and current partners, such as Computacenter, SCC, Complete Source and Allpoint Security, are now being migrated across.
IronKey’s deal registration programme has also been loaded with higher discounts.
Phil Pace, sales director at sole UK distributor Simms, said some of IronKey’s competition had taken “a battering” after their secure USB offerings were hacked.
“A lot of companies are coming to us saying they want guaranteed security – IronKey is the world’s most secure USB as no one has hacked it,” said Pace.
Vice president of channel marketing May Mitchell is one of several channel staff recently hired by IronKey.
Mitchell said: “We are setting aside marketing investment dollars upfront and it is a key objective of each quarter to perform a marketing programme [with Elite partners].”
